Motivating and encouraging employees in a business empire is a matter worth "a look into". The atmosphere and the mindset of employees generated caters to a very important need of an organization. We often see employees quitting complaining about their bosses' behavior and thus bringing instability in the overall process of working and creating new things. Here i will discuss the standard methods that are being studied and should be implemented by a good and ideal business organization.

The few things that matter are in the first place:

  • Salary
  • wages
  • incentives
  • allowances

these are the basic needs needed to be deployed. Taking care of the basic needs of employees is what managing human resources is about. Taking care of the employees' image of his organization which can be improved by seriously jotting down the above bulleted factors and the following

  • giving promotions
  • handing over more responsibilities
  • suitable transfers
  • distribution and improvements in authority delegation
  • good working atmosphere
  • needs such as canteen, fresh rooms, entertainment zones etc

well these are the standard and basic concepts that should be clear in the manager's mind.

According to thinker McClure there are two motivational factors the X and the Y. He has discussed certain basic assumptions made in order to go ahead with improvement of human resources.

the X factors assume that the employees are negatively oriented and not at all charged and also do not have a strong morale. The Y factor says the opposite, the employees are from a good educational background and are with high morale values. The X factor also says that the employees do not or can not take decisions on their own and cant handle any kind of pressure while the y factor says that the employees know what they are doing and are motivated about the need that the organization has to grow with their presence and efforts.

Therefore the study and implementation of motivation generating steps are possible through a proper strategy and being acquainted with the basics thus.

Abhitheprince,

This hub describes a great model of what Human Resources should do. However, in my experience that department tends to be more like company police. They are always on a witchhunt trying to find weaknesses in employees. They don't add a human factor into situations.

It was be nice if they would improve moral and try to inspire workers to greater success but it doesn't always work that way. Nice hub.
